Christmas
Every year Engage Africa partners with Hope Church to put on a Christmas Party to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
The celebration in Kids church includes Happy Meals from McDonald's for everyone, a talent share from the kids, a recounting of the story of Jesus birth, and gift page for each child. The Happy Meals are always a success and the kids can't wait to get their gift bag. usually the gift bag includes practical items (face cloth, bar of soap, toothbrush and tooth paste), school items (pencils, pencil sharpener, pens, eraser, ruler, notebooks), toys (bouncy ball, bubbles, small stuffed animal, Happy Meal toy), and candy. It is a wonderful time and fun is had by all.
In the adult church celebration we have a Christmas service that is topped off with Christmas Hamper (a bucket full of non-perishable food).
The day is fun as we celebrate the true reason for the season.
