South Africa has the most AIDS orphans in the world, according to a United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) report (2007)
2.5 million orphans
Unicef estimated that 2.5 million* South African children under 18 had lost at least one parent due to any cause, with about 450,000 having lost both parents. (2005)
