My Prayer Needs
Please pray for favour as I make new relationships in SA.
Please pray that God will connect me with the right people to increase His Kingdom and engage the kids of South Africa in life to the full through sport and ministry!
Please pray that I will not miss any opportunities that God places before me -that I will stay focused on all that He has for me to do!
Please pray that I will stay disciplined to study God’s Word and hear His voice in all that I do.

I had always wanted to visit Africa at some point in my life. When an opportunity to minister to children in South Africa through an organization called Thrive Africa. Through Thrive Africa, I experienced a taste of African culture, spent time away from my own familiar life and invested in the lives of African kids. Being away from family and friends was difficult at times, but it also led me to spend time deep in the Word of God and His presence, learning to hear His voice even more clearly. While I was in South Africa, I was surrounded by kids, learning the culture, listening to the Holy Spirit, and exploring God’s call on my life. I began to understand that God was calling me to something greater than just that one year.
I now know that God is calling me to reach out to the children of South Africa, to share God’s love with them, and to mentor kids and youth in settlements and townships. I have committed to spend 3 years with Engage Africa working with Jeff and Abby Hunt in SA. I will spend time with the kids at Lighthouse Children’s Shelter, help establish a structure for using soccer as an outreach in local schools, and spend time in townships and informal settlements building relationships with and mentoring young men who need to know that Jesus is their hope and their future.http://thriveafrica.org/http://thriveafrica.org/shapeimage_6_link_0shapeimage_6_link_1
